S.W.O.T Analysis (Strengths and Weaknesses)

Glacier’s ability to keep its position as one of the biggest players in the frozen food  industry is partly based on the business strategic balance shown in this SWOT analysis. The SWOT analysis model examines the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats most significant to our firm.

Strengths in the SWOT Analysis of Glacier.

Glacier’s strengths are based on the company’s business capabilities. This part of the SWOT analysis determines the internal strategic factors that create business capacity for continued development. Our company main strengths are as follows:

1)Captive customer base.

Glacier give the customer best price, quality and delivery. To make our customer as part of our family. We always give the best for our customers in order to make them as a loyal customers.

2)Strong distribution partners in local initiative.

We have strong network of distributor all around Malaysia. We distribute our product to supermarket, hotel, catering services and many more.

3)Food safety and liability is monitored by distributors.

 Glacier frozen food product are highly been monitored for the quality of the product.

4)Small labor force.

 We have design technology for the production of the product and minimize the cost for the labor force.

Weaknesses in the SWOT Analysis of Glacier.

Glacier’s weaknesses are linked to our business model and general strategic approaches. The internal strategic factors that reduce or limit the firm’s effectiveness are identified in this part of the SWOT analysis. The following are our company main weaknesses:

1)The price will be more expensive.

The fresh food are more cheap than Glacier frozen food.It is because Glacier frozen food is more convenient to cook without long preparation and also charging for processed and   packaging.

2)Shortage of raw materials

During rainy days we will face shortage of raw materials especially fishes and seafood for the frozen food.

3)High cost of machinery

The price of  machines that we use such as freezers are high and the warranty is in short period time.
